Sequel?

A little over two years ago, Amber and I wrote our first collab ever, titled Darling, I Want To Destroy You. It snowballed out of control and ended up much more involved than we intended, in spite of its length. We always told our readers there wouldn’t be a sequel.

It turns out, we were wrong.

Now, over two years later, I’ve just posted the first chapter of the sequel, I Will Try To Fix You. If you enjoyed the original, we hope you enjoy this one, too.

Survey time!

First post of 2014

I really haven’t gotten this year off to a good start, have I? I have posted chapters of In the Dark, but those were written during NaNoWriMo, so they hardly count as being productive this year. I really hate how starting my new job on January 2 has cut into my writing time, but I do really, really appreciate the job.

Speaking of time constraints… some of you may remember my little collab with Amber, Truth is a Whisper. She’s been under serious time constraints for the past year, but she’s finally finished chapter two of part three and sent it to me to post. So it’s up and hopefully three and four will be finished and posted soon. As always, we can’t make any guarantees, but I do hope they will be posted soon.

And hopefully I’ll have something entirely new for you soon…

End of year recap time!

Merry Christmas and happy New Years! I figured it was about time for me to recap you guys on how my entire year has gone, fic-wise.

First and foremost, we have officially finished Loaded God Complex today! We hope you guys have enjoyed it, and we can promise you it isn’t the last time Lindsay and I will ever collaborate. Stay tuned for details about our future plans.

I feel like I’ve been teasing you guys with this story forever, even though it hasn’t been nearly as long as some of my other stories. There’s a good chance I may finish writing it this month, so I decided to go ahead and post a few chapters. The rest will be posted… eventually. A few quick updates.

I just wanted to drop a few quick updates here for you guys. Sooooo here they are!

First, I’ve finally posted a new chapter of Songs Left Unsung, after nearly a month. The rest of it is outlined, so hopefully I can get back into the groove and keep posting.

Secondly, I don’t want to get your hopes up too much, but I may soon be posting new chapters of a story that’s been effectively on hiatus for even longer than a month. So… keep your eyes peeled for that.

Thirdly, I am so thankful to everyone who nominated my stories over at the Blank Page Awards. Voting is open now, so why don’t all of you lovely people head over there and vote for me, too? 🙂

And that’s it for now! Hopefully I’ll have some more really big news for you soon…

Smut!

Some updates.

How long has it been since I’ve updated this blog? Oops! Okay, here’s a quick recap of where my current (and recent past) stories stand.

  • Beating Heart — Finished just a few days ago at 34 chapters.
  • Gravity — Finished today at 19 parts.
  • In the Dark — Still pushing on this one. Making pretty good progress, but I’ll be pausing to edit soon before I begin to post anything.
  • Loaded God Complex — Slowing down a bit on this one to finish planning it all out, but we did post some “bonus content” over the last few weeks. Expect more on this one in October!
  • Songs Left Unsung — Finished outlining this one, but actually writing it is taking a while. I’d like to finish it this year, but no guarantees.
  • 30 Days of Smut — You’ll notice the link to this points nowhere. It will eventually point to a collection on AO3. I’ll be doing these 30 drabble/ficlet prompts in October.

And in addition to all of that, I’m also doing another round of the Blank Page Awards. Nominations are open now, so if you’re feeling generous, go nominate me! 😉

I did it!

Yes, I did it! I survived Camp NaNoWriMo yet again. It’s still July, but I figured it was time to post a little recap of what I’ve written this month. Like November last year, I worked up a bunch of projects rather than adding in any brand new stories to the pile. And here’s how I did…

  • Beating Heart — Wrote about eight chapters of this one. While I’m a bit behind that in posting, I’m actually almost finished writing the entire story. It definitely needs editing, but I’m getting there.
  • Loaded God Complex — Lindsay and wrote a total of nine chapters of this one altogether. That actually puts us a little behind where we needed to be, so we may take a short break from it. In the meantime, we can get back ahead on our other stories, maybe. I’m still really happy with where this one is going.
  • Songs Left Unsung — This was supposed to be my focus this month, but I only managed around eight chapters on it. Still, after being stuck for a month, I’m happy with that progress. I have some things outlined, and I think it will be about eighty chapters by the time it’s done. Eighty. How insane is that?!
  • Worlds Collide — This one is done! I wrote three chapters and the epilogue this month. Done!

So that’s it for this month. I think Beating Heart and Gravity will be the next ones to be crossed off my to do list, but even that may take a few weeks or months. Loaded God Complex and Songs Left Unsung will definitely keep going for quite a while.

You may notice that I’ve added a new story to the Coming Soon page and the Currently list, In the Dark. I’m actually just outlining it now, but it will likely be my project for NaNoWriMo. More on that when it gets closer. I’m also considering a month long drabble/oneshot challenge, but I think I may be putting too much on my plate. Oh well.
