End of year recap time!

Merry Christmas and happy New Years! I figured it was about time for me to recap you guys on how my entire year has gone, fic-wise.

First and foremost, we have officially finished Loaded God Complex today! We hope you guys have enjoyed it, and we can promise you it isn’t the last time Lindsay and I will ever collaborate. Stay tuned for details about our future plans.

Now, for the rest of my year, in something resembling alphabetical order.

I finished Audience right around its one year anniversary. The ending was different than I’d planned, so a sequel was necessary. Starting with Camp NaNoWriMo, I managed to write Beating Heart in about four months.

I also finished up Interwoven in April, and realized that I needed a fourth part of the series to really complete it. Along came Denouement, and the series was done, except for a few “lost chapters” here and there, including a Christmas oneshot posted just a few days ago.

My first entirely new project for the year was Gravity, which I’d had on the backburner for almost three years. I still feel like there’s more I could have done with it, but I’m so glad to finally have it out of my system.

After a series of dreams that featured some strong scenes that I thought would work well in stories, I started piecing together a plot that I hoped was distinct enough from the whole Sweetest Downfall series. I wrote a few chapters early in the fall, then worked on in for NaNo, and just a few weeks ago, I began publishing it. What is it? In the Dark, of course.

In April and May, Lindsay and I began tossing around the idea of collaborating. We both had a few ideas, but nothing really excited the other. Then, in the midst of a joking conversation about Taylor and Zac’s stripper moves, we realized we had a plot. Thus, Loaded God Complex was born. We had a great time writing it, and as I mentioned above, we literally just finished it.

I hate to say it, but I’ve been blocked on Songs Left Unsung for most of this year. Even though I have the ending plotted out and I know roughly how many chapters are left, I just can’t write it. I would love to finish it before its two year anniversary, but I’m not holding my breath.

In better news, I finished Untold and Worlds Collide this year. They were never my favorite stories, I’ll admit, but I’m happy to have seen them through.

Lastly, in October I did a little project called 30 Days of Smut. Some of them were outtakes from my other stories, while at least two have spawned ideas for new stories that I hope to write soon.

And that brings me to the new year. I’ve added a few new stories to the Coming Soon page so you can see what I have in store for 2014. My biggest projects will be finishing In the Dark and Songs Left Unsung, of course. I hope to see a few of these new ideas through as well. I think it’s going to be a good year!
