Survey says…

Thank you guys so much for responding to my survey! I was really pleasantly surprised to get so many responses, and some of them weren’t exactly what I was expecting.

You can view the full results here. Please note that I accidentally removed one vote for Love and Other Socially Acceptable Emotions while trying to correct a typo. The rest of the results are accurate.

So, what are my thoughts on all those votes?

Well, I’m not at all surprised that Audience of One, Songs Left Unsung and Truth is a Whisper are the most read and most favorite unfinished stories. But I’m pleasantly surprised to see that my het stories all have some fans as well.

As for the finished stories, I was extremely surprised to see What Didn’t Happen with such a lead, but I suppose that can be attributed to it being cest.

The sequel and prequel questions were a bit misleading, I’ll admit. I already planned to write the sequel to Audience of One; I just wanted to see what the demand for it was. I will very likely be writing the prequel to Love and Other… later this year as well. I did include Darling, I Want To Destroy You on the list, although I don’t know if/when a sequel to it might happen. It’s all about Amber finding the time and inspiration. Likewise for Truth is a Whisper, which received quite a few write in votes. I hope that, if/when we finish it, we can follow through with our plan to write a few “lost chapters” but I make absolutely no guarantees.

The coming soon stories… well, two of them are collabs I had planned with Amber, so again, I can’t guarantee that you’ll ever see those.

And the short stories! I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised to see most of my Zarrick stories getting so many votes. Not surprised at all that the others that received votes are nearly all slash.

The feedback question was an odd one to include, but it did underscore the fact that most of you read my fic on LJ. I hope now you’ve all discovered the site as well! And if you like signing the guestbook so much, I think you ought to do a lot more of it 😉 I’m glad to see that twitter was a popular option, though. I’ve wondered if my story update tweets were working for me, and they seem to be. I hope my new tumblr updates will help as well.

So, that’s it! Thank you guys so much for voting.
