About the Story
This story was written for the Don’t Judge A Book… Challenge. Everyone who signed up had to submit a graphic with two characters, a title and some sort of “scene” for whoever got their graphic to base a story on. I was assigned the story “Worlds Collide” and the graphic over there to the left (click on it for a larger version).
I had some trouble, at first, figuring out how to interpret that graphic. I noticed the seeming halo around the female Taylor, and the fire below the male Taylor, and that sent my mind off. I got the idea that the female character, Maureen, would come from a very sheltered background that she managed to escape. As for Taylor? He had to just be Taylor — a hipster and a man whore. But there’s another side to him, a darker side.
So, that’s where this story came from. Very different origins from my other stories and, I think, a very different story.
