About

I really didn’t intend for Audience to have a sequel at all. I started it for a challenge and it began fairly lightheartedly, but got progressively darker as I wrote. I always had the ending planned out, but as I got within about fifteen chapters of it, I began to see that it just didn’t make sense. So I made a huge change to it that allowed for a sequel. The title comes from Florence + The Machine’s song “Howl” and realizing how well that song fit Zac was part of what gave me the push to write this second part.

And here we are.

The first chunk of this story was written for Camp NaNoWriMo because, frankly, I didn’t want to devote another year to this story. It took nearly a year to write Audience and while there are things I love about it, there are other characters that have taken up much bigger places in my mind than these. Still, I have enjoyed writing about them.
