I gotta say, this has been a good year for me. Maybe not a good year hanfic-wise, but a good year nonetheless. And as it comes to an end, I wanted to post a little something to update you guys on how the year went. It hasn’t been my most productive year, nor has it changed much since my last update, so this should be brief. Still, it’s below the jump to save space and scrolling.
Bled Dry — It may have been a little crazy to start sharing this one when we had two other collabs in progress, bu Amber and I just got so inspired to finally get this story out there. We’ve posted about 2/3 of this story, and even though the holidays have slowed us down a bit, we’ve really enjoyed working on it. Hopefully we’ll have a new chapter to share soon!
I Will Try To Fix You — Unfortunately, we’ve stalled out on this one. It’s been such a tough, emotional story to write that even though it’s meant to be short, we haven’t made much progress. Maybe in 2015?
In the Dark — Done! Well, sort of. I still feel like the ending is a bit rushed, but aside from editing and maybe expanding the ending some, the writing is done. I finished it for NaNoWriMo this year, and felt really accomplished, but I still have plenty to post over the next month or two.
Kiss and Tell — It took me a while to get ready to post this one, after working on it during April and July Camp NaNo, but finally I did. It’s a little different for me, being light and comedic, but I enjoy writing it.
Naked Magic — I suck. It’s 100% my fault that we haven’t shared this one yet. Maybe… someday…. I hope…
Songs Left Unsung — After two and a half years, or thereabouts, I finished this one! I was worried about the ending and that slowed me down for a while, but I think I managed to pull it off in a way that most of my readers could be happy about. I hope.
Truth is a Whisper — Finally! Okay, it may not be done yet, but we wrote a whopping fifteen chapters this year after letting it languish for most of 2013. We’re still only about halfway through the third part, but we’re feeling good about it. The last bit is going to be tough to get right, so I’ll admit, we’ve been stalling. But it will happen… eventually…
Okay, so I made a lot of promises for future chapters there. I’m still figuring out how to balance writing and working full time, so 2014 wasn’t my best year. But I think 2015 will be good! Check back then for more updates 😉
