Summary

Part Three: Call Me Home The past few months have been full of change and upheaval for Taylor, Zac and Carrick. They’ve all grown a lot, but they’ll find they still have a lot to learn about love and family.

Believe it or not, it’s the four year anniversary of when Amber and I posted the very first chapter of this story. It’s been a long, strange trip since then. While this trip is over, now, you know this isn’t the last you’re going to hear from us. But it is the last word on Truth. To wrap it all up, we’ve posted a final “lost chapter” and the soundtrack for Call Me Home. Also, below the “read more” link here, you can read our final thoughts, if you will, on writing this fic together. Amber’s comments are in red and mine in blue, just like our characters.

Yes, this is it. The end. I promise we’ll have something more eloquent to say soon, along with posting the soundtrack, but for now this will have to do. We’re so, so grateful for everyone who has stuck with us for the past three years and change, and those who found us somewhere along the way. This fic, and the process of writing it, have been a long strange ride, but it has cemented some amazing friendships that we both know will last. We couldn’t ask for more, and we couldn’t have asked for better readers to take this trip with us.

I know, you’re all waiting for the last real chapter, but we’re going to keep you waiting just a little bit longer for it. This lost chapter is a different perspective on an existing scene from way back in part two, but it should make sense even if you don’t re-read that one first.

Can you believe it? And so soon after that lost chapter, too! We’r trying not to drag this ending out too much, even though it’s definitely sad to see it all end. But hopefully you will all enjoy said ending 😉

No, you’re not seeing things! I know, it’s been months since we’ve posted anything, and what we did post last was a “lost chapter.” Well, this is no lost chapter. Today’s chapter is a real one (haha) and it’s a big one, too. So sign the guestbook and let us know what you think 🙂

No, it’s not a regular chapter, but it is a chapter… of sorts. We hope you all enjoy it and stay tuned for the last few chapters (regular and otherwise).

As most of you know, I think, we are really close to finishing this story. But we’re not quite there yet and we’ve been so in love with it that we just aren’t ready to let it go. Over the years, Amber and I had talked (jokingly, but sometimes seriously) about all the backstory we could write, little scenes and “lost chapters” that our readers would enjoy. So, to go along with the last few chapters, we’ve finally written a few of those. The first one, “Candy In Blue Jeans,” is up and you can find it at the bottom of the chapters list. More will be posted soon!
